Outside Sales Representative – Southern Minnesota and South Dakota

In addition to best-in-class product offering, PAC is a Manufacturer’s Representative for Capital Equipment supplying the entire SMT (surface mount technology) manufacturing/production lines for the electronic industry allowing PAC to be an overall strategic business partner for production supplies and equipment.

Job Description

One of our Senior Salesman retired recently after 25 years. We are looking for the right individual to step in and take over immediately to maintain and grow the accounts and territory which includes the Twin Cities, Southeast Minnesota, and South Dakota. The person selected for this Account Management position will be expected to develop and maintain a specific Sales Territory by growing mutually beneficial relationships with the company’s Customers and Suppliers. In doing so, this individual will be expected to achieve all annual sales and performance goals. Lastly, the selected individual will report to and work with the VP of Sales to accomplish the goals set forth in the region’s annual business plan. Candidate must live within the territory.

  • Effectively utilizes all sales tools and sales resources to ensure successful project completion
  • Coordinates sales efforts with Strategic Account Managers.
  • Forges long-lasting, profitable relationships
  • Ideal candidate to reside in southern Minnesota

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or equivalent education.

EXPERIENCE:

A Minimum of 3-5 years sales experience in B2B and or MRO distributor sales. Technical equipment sales is a real plus.

KNOWLEDGE & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

  • Market knowledge in MRO, Life Science, Electronic Assembly and or Clean Room, Medical Device, Representation or Distribution background preferred.
  • Must possess a strong work ethic and be able to demonstrate initiative as it relates to problem solving and implementing corrective action plans on a timely basis.
  • Must demonstrate maturity as a business professional and the business acumen necessary to be successful in this position
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong selling skills and end-user account management skills
  • Must possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in the use of MS Office Suite applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook and CRM
  • Must be able to demonstrate effective time and territory management skills
  • Must possess solid problem-solving skills and the ability to perform gap analyses, action plan development, and effective action plan implementation.
  • Willingness to travel overnight as required by this position
  • Must be willing and able to transport any and all company products for demonstrations
  • Must be capable of conducting product seminars and product presentations in front of an audience.
